STRR is dedicated to striving for the highest standards in rugby officiating.Our Society is organized for the purpose of contributing to the growth of Rugby at all levels of play for all ages, through competition at local, state, national and international levels and to improve the position and standards of the game of Rugby Union Football in Texas and the United States of America.

TO: TRU and TYRA Club Officials and Members SUBJECT: The Way Forward Founded in 1971, the Society of Texas Rugby Referees (STRR) has provided referees and other match officials that have enabled you to play your games of rugby football for the past 37 years. Across the USA, clubs have traditionally dealt with their authorized Local Referee Organization (LRO) directly as did the STRR for many years in the past without incident. More recently, however; our business with you has been coordinated and controlled ever more so through the offices of the Texas Rugby Union (TRU). In this respect, it is very unusual for a referee society in the USA to rely upon the Local Area Union, in this case, the TRU, to channel funds that you, the clubs, pay for referee services to the organization that actually provides these services. ...Continue Reading
